Victoria Viray
Prettymonkey26 is Victoria Viray. She is an art director, illustrator and graphic designer. Prettymonkey26 is also a member of the art collective, the Brownmonkeys.
She grew up in Legazpi City, Philippines but now calls Dubai home. Raised with entrepreneur parents, she didn't have much interest in the arts until her later years in university. A frustration with her architecture background only reinforced her decision to change to a career in graphic design. Three years ago in Dubai, she was reminded of how much she loved art when she started working for a children's apparel company. A colleague enthusiastically offered to draw some stick figures for a t-shirt design, and she thought, "I don't draw that great, but I can definitely draw better than that". She has also worked for MTV Arabia as a graphic designer and is now an art director for an advertising agency in Dubai.
Her illustrations are her creative outlet, and in her spare time, she illustrates using a wide variety of media, from vectors to digital painting, traditional charcoals to acrylics. Her style can be summed up in several words; punk, rock, sexy, sensual, fluid, angst, beauty, woman, feminine, orgasmic.
