Simon Hunt

Simon started metal work sculpting at a young age. Growing up on a farm in rural Australia gave him access to mountains of scrap metal and a fabrication workshop. Welding recycled metal into giant abstract sculptors just for fun until some of his work made its way into one of Adelaide's east-end galleries Urban Cow Studio in 1998. From there he went onto a regular exhibition program of group and solo shows. Going onto study art in Belgium in 2001. Still enjoying sculptor as his favorite medium he works in wood and ceramics. Graffiti and stencil art play a big part in his art appreciation. In 2006 he co-created Home Slice and found he enjoyed the curatorial side of urban art much more. Now residing in Dubai he's enjoying participating in relaxed group shows and curating his own urban pop-up projects such as the Box Wall in DIFC, and Graffiti By Numbers.
