Renata Giovannoni

Hello. My name is Renata and I am a graphic designer by day, a fire spinner by night, and an artist somewhere in between that. I mainly do simple, macabre watercolour paintings, but i also like to explore photography and installations.

The the main character I use is in most of my work is 'Matilda'. She is a representation of me from when I was 9 yrs old; an innocent little girl, passionate and curious about everything, and political about nothing. I use Matilda to express all my 'grown-up' emotional truths like fear, heart-ache and love, just as any child would – by brutal honesty.
