Mohammed Abedin

Mohammed Abedin is an Emarati born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1987.

Since he was little, he had been greatly impacted by the Far East and developed a great appreciation for Asia's colorful history and culture - leading to a growing curiosity in the creative arts.

Growing up, his first influences were toys, cartoons, video games and comic books like any other child, but the hunger to create came shortly after. He then started drawing, and in an attempt to improve his talent, he started looking towards Comic Artists such as Joe Madureira and Humberto Ramos during his teens for inspiration.

It wasn't until he came across urban artists and the urban art culture that encouraged him to explore and venture beyond comic art. Subsequently, he developed a growing desire to learn and understand how to create art through different mediums of expression.

With this newfound goal and a short trip to Tokyo with his college, Mohammed discovered an entirely new and sophisticated world of art and returned with a passion for designing, and a great affinity for designer toys.

Mohammed believes that by becoming a designer it allowed him to achieve his goals by enabling him to express himself freely and through several platforms and mediums while still remaining true to his background in urban and comic arts.

Mohammed is a self-taught artist and currently runs his own design business known as 'Foo Dog' that focuses on designer toys, art and apparel.
