After graduating in 1993 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mark realized that a Conventional job sitting behind a desk just wasn't going to cut it. While he was deciding which direction to take his life he volunteered to be an extra in a Joburg movie and realized he'd found his new career.
Mark joined the top crewing agency in South Africa and began his training in the lighting department, firstly running around as a spark then slowly rising up the ranks to the head of lighting ( Gaffer )
While he was still sparking, his mentor and boss said to him: "One Day you will see the light, this is when you can say you have mastered your craft' ...
Thanks to many long hours over countless commercials for everything from Pampers to Porche and features, including 'The Kingdom', with Jamie fox, City of Life and Paris Hiltons Be my Best Friend . He has 'Seen the Light.'

After migrating to Dubai, Mark began to play around with film as well as lighting and has discovered that his true passion is making films and this is why he's taking his career to the next level and has started producing some work that he can call his own.
He has worked closely with Candy for the last 2 years, documenting her fashion shoots and turning them into edgy videos for her show reel. One of his videos can be seen on " www.candykennedy.com " under the video section
As well as his work with Candy he has also been filming behind the scenes on various photo shoots, fashion shoots with top designers like French owned Arabesque and a few application videos for Mikyajy the fastest growing cosmetic brand in the Middle East. The makeup label can be seen on youtube and has over 4000 hits.
