Fathima Mohuiddin

Dividing her time between curating and producing art, Fathima has spent the last 10 years living in Toronto, London and Dubai. Her distinguishable style of mark making has lent itself to large-scale drawing, painting, mural work, installation, photography, video and body art. Doodling with a compulsion on any surface, Fathima finds herself at times disturbed by her marks yet excited by the significance of them, as her drawings refer back to a recurring dream she had as a child.

Exploring ideas of subjectivity, the subconscious and chaos through fast-paced gestural drawing, her interest lies in the role of individuality in a social context and the general significance of art. Fathima also actively organizes and participates in community – based art projects.
